Cells to Self is a collection of exhibits, scientific tools, and artworks that explore the many microscopic processes that shape who we are. A permanent exhibition at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, this show offers opportunities for the public to look at live stem cells at the Microscope Imaging Station, explore the scale of cells through tactile bronze sculpture, and see the microbial and cellular life within. This work was led by Kristina Yu and Jennifer Frazier with a creative team from the Exploratorium, and collaborators from UC Berkeley, UC San Francisco, and Stanford University with funding from the National Science Foundation, Genentech, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. More information about the show can be found on the Exploratorium website.
